Check the BIOS version listed in the motherboard manual or on the manufacturer's website. You can also download the appropriate BIOS file from the site provided.
Usually it lists the BIOS version along with the board’s make and model in the info tab or page. If you’re unsure, just update it yourself. For those who haven’t changed a motherboard BIOS before, please inform us so we can point you to the right guide. Before proceeding, double-check that the issue isn’t due to faulty hardware. Test each stick separately, one at a time, to ensure both are functional—this helps eliminate problems with individual slots. After confirming both sticks work, try inserting one in each RAM slot individually. This will help rule out defective slots. Only after verifying there’s no hardware problem should you update the BIOS. This approach prevents unnecessary troubleshooting later when the issue was simply a hardware fault.
