Even with performance targets for typical VR experiences, the system places a significant strain on CPU and graphics cards. Comparing the newest models from AMD and Nvidia would be helpful. To track FPS effectively, tools like Fraps are useful—they capture minimum frame rates or analyze frame timing delays and spikes. Do you think regular gaming feels identical in VR? Unfortunately not, because maintaining a steady 90 FPS across two screens adds extra complexity.

It's understandable given how VR performance depends on player orientation and the lack of clear benchmarks. Superpostion Pro includes VR support, while SteamVR offers a performance testing tool.

SteamVR is rubbish and SPVR is not representative of an actual game play. Besides, VR games have a vastly different power requirements from each other and there is currently no game that defines a performance standard... Maybe Lone Echo?

Lone Echo offers stunning visuals with rich lighting effects, bloom, intricate shapes, realistic physics, expansive environments, and AI integration. Just a note—my GPU gets warm during intense gameplay sessions.

The available resources are limited (Fraps won't provide solid data), and the insights gained are harder to interpret. Generally, it's still wiser to test benchmarks on monitor-based games.
