You have a 3-monitor gaming setup. You're considering adding another screen with higher refresh rate for fast-paced games. Four monitors isn't inherently bad, but it can affect performance and usability. Your current setup with an NZXT Kraken Z73 Z590 has solid specs—your PC should handle the extra load if needed. The impact of your display on performance depends on factors like power delivery and cable quality.

It varies based on the devices available and whether apps leverage hardware acceleration. Two monitors with basic tools like File Explorer, Discord, and a web browser won’t strain performance much—especially if you turn off hardware acceleration in Discord and your browser. However, streaming a YouTube video on one or two monitors increases GPU demand.

The screen includes its own chip, so it doesn't rely on your main processor or graphics card for the visuals. This limits it to basic tasks such as animations and flat images.

I solely rely on my additional monitors for Discord or Spotify, and similar tasks. While gaming, I don’t use the other screens for things like watching YouTube.

This will reduce the strain on your graphics card and prevent any noticeable slowdown.
