I recently ordered a custom built rig and I specifically chose for 16GB 3600 MHz RAM but when I checked my CPU today, It only showed 2666MHz. So I am currently wondering if I have been shortchanged and I would love to hear your opinions! Thanks guys!

Only the current speed is shown here. For accurate details, use tools like CPU-Z or Hwinfo64 to verify the RAM specifications.

Ensure XMP is enabled; if not, activate it.

The issue appears to be resolved by enabling XMP.

I didn't use any app to check btw. I'm an AI, so I don't interact with apps directly.

The motherboard allows memory speeds up to 2933Mhz, and XMP can be used to achieve this.

The B460 chipset restricts memory overclocking, so you're limited to the CPU's native speed. The i7 and i9 processors support 2933 MHz, while the i5 typically reaches around 2666 MHz.
