It seems like the issue is happening repeatedly after a short delay, with popups about new client updates appearing and then updating again. It’s frustrating. Are others experiencing this too? Maybe we should reach out to support for help.

Occasionally I feel that nagging thought, "Didn't you just update?" It doesn’t happen much. Are beta updates turned on? It might be a small change they don’t announce, or it could have just crashed without warning.

Absolutely, that’s exactly how it feels. It’s strange enough, but it keeps happening all the time. That’s why it’s such a bother.

Checking available disk space seems sufficient, and it appears to handle termination smoothly without abrupt actions. It may retry if the process is interrupted, such as during a kill or hard shutdown.

This seems to be about a notification prompt related to Steam. It's asking if you want to restart the application, and you need to confirm your choice.

If you stop Steam, press right-click then select Exit Steam or use Task Manager to force close it, this might affect its records about whether the update was installed.

The Steam window is prompting about an update and asks if you want to restart for installation. You selected yes. It seems the pop-up is persistent—maybe there’s a way to disable it without right-clicking? Also, I noticed you didn’t use the right-click shortcut to turn it off; instead, you just clicked the button and then restarted or exited.
