Hey everyone! Happy new year! I recently upgraded my Toshiba Satellite A505-S6025 from Windows 7 to Windows 10 (I did a clean install). Since then, my speaker volume is super low, even when I hit the slider all the way up to 100. It looks like this laptop uses NVIDIA AUDIO. The graphics chip is a GEFORCE M-310. I installed the latest driver from NVIDIA's website, but it didn't help at all. Any ideas would be super helpful! This laptop came with Dolby Sound Room, and I don't have that anymore. Could that be why? Thanks so much for your help!

Hey there! I just had a great new year because it's actually coming here too. I recently changed my Toshiba Satellite A505-S6025 from Windows 7 to Windows 10 by doing a complete fresh install (clean setup). You mean you removed your old hard drive and put in a clean one, then installed Windows 10 right after? If that's the case, where did you get the installer for the new system?

This specific laptop came with built-in Dolby Sound Room speakers, but now I don't have them. How did you install drivers so they still work on the new computer? Microsoft says this laptop isn't officially supported for Windows 10, so you might need to run those installation files in compatibility mode (like Right-click > Properties > Compatibility tab > select your old OS like Windows 7). Did you make sure to update the BIOS before switching over to Windows 10?
