What temperature do you need for an Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 when playing games or using it as a PC? When you look at Armoury Crate, the fans are spinning up because they hit 60 degrees Celsius. You also checked with HWiNFO64 and set your limit to 70 degrees. Is this okay for me? Thanks.

No matter what the max temp for those parts is at a T-junction, they usually go up to about 90C or even higher. You can't be sure without knowing the exact model. The Zephyrus G15 isn't just a single part that gets broken once; it's used over and over again.

Got it! Thanks for getting back to me. The model I'm thinking of is the GA503RM, right? That's what you wanted to know.

I also tell people that an NVMe hard drive controller gets really hot compared to everything else in my computer. The system says so when they run a check. Should I worry? When I started writing this on my phone, the temp was 68 degrees celsius. Now it is down to 66c

No, that's not specific enough for the exact hardware. But you get the generation and potential components. So a Ryzen 9 and a 30 series GPU of some sort. Zen 3 TJ Max is 90C. Ampere GPUs have a TJ Max of 95C, but are generally configured for a throttle point of 83C. Typical memory TJ Max for Ampere is 105C, but can also be 95C, depends who made the memory and if it is GDDR6 or GDDR6x Couldn't tell you what SSD is in there, but the controller on the NVMe should be kept as cool as possible. The drive will self throttle, so there isn't much concern there. The flash memory operates best when it is slightly warm.

I have an SSD that is 512GB from Western Digital, but I can't even find a controller manager for it on the brand's website. How do I make sure this thing stays cool? Should I turn off my graphics card so my laptop gets some fresh air and only uses Radeon? Is it okay if the control center and GPU are close together? I'm using a Ryzen 7 processor with an NVIDIA card, but Armoury Crate won't let me disable the card because it says "some programs in use" and keeps looping forever.

I don't know why you're so worried about the temperature of all those gadgets. When things like laptops are built right, they regulate their heat on their own. The only thing that stops them from getting too hot is not using what makes them work.

Hey! I totally forgot this thread was open, so keep creating new threads but ignore them later. I'm going to save a copy of this post for my next question. Thanks for letting me know about the SSD and its nvme controller. Just discovered recently that there is software like WD tools or Samsung Magician for this brand. I'll use it instead of hwinfo64 because OEM software seems more accurate and valid from now on. I used to worry a lot because I was planning to game and edit videos, thinking the 65c-70c on the controller/SSD meant the lifespan would be short. That's why I asked here. Just to make sure though, is it the same hardware? The SSD itself and the ASIC controller? Will both throttle right down to reduce heat? Thanks again!
