Sure, you can keep the car graphics on even if you disable the script hook. They’re saved in your personal files and won’t affect others.

The files I have modified aren't .rpf files, so I should be fine. They are .yft or .ytd.

Modified .rpf files are what you're looking for. In theory, if your files are original, everything should work. However, I still don't suggest keeping the mods active. Others have faced bans for random visual changes, and I wouldn't want to take that chance.

The ytf/ytd files are stored as .rpf files. The .rpf file has been updated.

Changes to the .rpf files can lead to bans, along with additional .asi files in the same folder. Even without misusing them, this applies. I use different installers—one clean and one modified—for multiplayer, and it functions properly.
