I have a Z690 motherboard with an i5-12400 processor. At first it would power on but wouldn't boot. The system would switch between CPU and DRAM before finally settling on the CPU. After updating the BIOS with QFFlash Plus, it stopped turning on. When I power it back on, the motherboard lights up briefly then it won't start again. It seems like the issue might be with the motherboard itself. Could you confirm if the BIOS update was successful and check for any visible damage?

Once you flash the BIOS, it’s a good idea to clear the CMOS memory. The machine might have failed to start due to several possible issues such as damaged CPU socket pins, faulty CPU, incorrect pressure when installing the CPU cooler, among others. Hope this helps!
