It depends on how the system checks pins. If your keystones aren't supporting certain pins, the tester might still detect functionality for the remaining ones.

It seems like the core material is likely aluminum, which could cause the wire to break during punchdown. Try using RJ45 connectors instead—they should function properly.

I ended the connection using standard connectors but it’s not functioning, suggesting an issue with the wall wire.

Are you certain the wires are in the right spots? Punchdowns require a strong core.

I understand why I brought up aluminum. Many folks get it wrong by purchasing a solid-core product made from aluminum, only to find it breaks easily.
