Hey everyone, I'm planning to refresh my budget build for my birthday. I've chosen some components and the PC part supplier confirmed there are no compatibility problems. I thought it'd be smart to verify with real users first. My motherboard is an Intel DH61CR (link provided). The CPU upgrade target is an Intel I7 2600, though the board can't be overclocked. For the graphics, I'm considering a MSI RX580 Armour with 8GB RAM. My power supply is 500W. Will everything fit together smoothly? Appreciate any advice from you all – Maddix

Check the specifications to confirm if an upgrade makes sense. The GPU must be compatible with your motherboard—search for the right one yourself. You’re likely only needing the GPU, not the CPU, since it won’t significantly impact performance. Unless your hardware is extremely outdated, upgrading won’t help much for gaming.

I wasn't sure if the card required updated PCI-e standards and I wasn't aware of potential conflicts between the CPU and GPU. I'm just starting with troubleshooting these issues.
