If you've already tried it, which motherboard model worked for you? I understand there are 128GB (2x64GB) DDR4 kits available, and the main issue would likely be a lack of BIOS support. Please confirm if that's correct. Z390 chipset officially supports 128GB RAM.

To the best of my knowledge, only registered memory reaches up to 64GB modules using DDR4, and these are not supported at all.

I own a gigabyte Z390 I AORUS running on a non-ecc 64GB RAM setup without any problems. It appears that 128GB kits are typically available only in ECC versions.

This product supports 4 slots with a maximum of 64GB each.
The chipset features 2 DIMMs per channel and does not support ECC memory.
