A few months back I purchased a Corsair TX650M to swap in for my VS450 model, which I've relied on since 2019 and it still performs well. I connected everything properly, and everything functions as expected—fans operate, all components are active, and the setup looks good. However, the monitor shows no signal and the CPU indicator remains lit. I rechecked connections, removed RAM, reset CMOS, but nothing resolved the issue, so I returned it. Recently, I bought another TX650M from Scan UK (previously Amazon) and the same problems appeared. My old unit still works fine in my system, so the fault isn’t with me. It’s puzzling that two units within months would fail this way. I’m considering a motherboard fault but am unsure—could be something else entirely. Specifications: MSI B450 PRO M2 board, R5 3600, 32GB Ballsitix DDR4-3200MHz, GTX 1080.

Since the VS450 lacks modularity, we should avoid mistakenly repurposing modular cables. Have you utilized the modular cables included with the TX650Ms?

Are you certain you connected the PCIe power cable to the GPU and the 4+4 CPU power cable to the motherboard? Although they may appear alike, the wiring connections could vary.

It seems you confirmed connecting the cable labeled "cpu" to the CPU header and the one for the graphics card as "Pcie."

Sure, I understand. It seems unlikely two separate PSUs from different vendors would share the same issue, yet it appears the setup was correct, which makes me wonder about the PSUs themselves. Let’s see if anyone else can offer new perspectives.
