Have trouble with the ASRock x370 Fatal1ty Gaming X?
Hello everyone, today I almost completed a new build and won't be posting it. Once the power button was pressed, the purple LED lit up briefly before switching to blinking red ones. The lights kept flashing as long as the system was running, but after about 30 seconds it stopped and restarted after a short delay. This cycle seemed to repeat without end. The motherboard also features a digital display with two-digit numbers, which occasionally shows two zeros blinking during operation. I think it displays boot progress, though I'm not sure. According to the sticker on the BIOS chip, the motherboard model is P5.90. My CPU and all Ryzen 2000 series chips are compatible with BIOS version P4.6, while the Ryzen 3000 series works with P5.5. Since the GPU has two power connectors, I first used separate PCI-e cables, then switched to one with an 8+6 connector. Hardware details: CPU – AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, GPU – Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070S, Motherboard – ASRock Fatal1ty x370 Gaming, RAM – G.SKILL AEGIS DDR4-3200 (32GB, 16GBx2), Power Supply – Fractal Design ION+ 760P. I've tried several things: no GPU startup (this CPU lacks one), memory issues on each lane at startup, resetting CMOS using a jumper, battery, or both simultaneously. I've reached out to ASRock and the seller, and posted in a few forums hoping someone has encountered similar problems. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Have you explored another GPU? Are you certain all parts are functioning properly? Is the CPU connected with the correct number of pins?
I have no other GPU and the one I have is perfectly in tact. I am 100% sure, that this is a Motherboard issue, as there were no static incidents and I took my time installing everything as carefully as one can do. There is only one way to connect every cable into the motherboard, including the power cables. I made sure to install them firmly, without causing any damage.
