I recently installed a 48GB DDR5 RAM module from Corsair Dominator Titanium at 7200MHz. Initially, the yellow DRAM light stayed on and the system wouldn’t boot. After updating, it finally started working. Now it displays that only one RAM stick is active out of the two, and I’ve swapped them to check if the issue was with the stick itself. I suspect the A1 and A2 slots might be problematic. Someone, can you help? Both sticks are present but only one is functioning properly.
Hey there! I'm here to help you figure out your setup. What type of motherboard are you using? Have you checked the manual to see which RAM slots you need to fill? Try setting RAM to 6000 or 7200—those won't really help much. If that doesn't work, consider updating the BIOS. Also, try turning off XMP settings and see if it boots normally. When it attempts to start, does it completely power down or just stay on but not responding? That might indicate a memory training issue that could take a while to resolve. It could take up to 30 minutes.
I own an ASUS ROG B650E-F with Wi-Fi. I just updated the BIOS recently but it didn’t work. I’m using A2 and B2, and it boots fine but only recognizes one. I’ll disable XMP to check if both slots work. Also, I’m lowering the Wi-Fi to 6000 and suspect the A1 and A2 slots might be involved.
When I initially installed it, it displayed a dramatic light. I let it rest for about four hours and it remained bright. Eventually, I had to remove a RAM slot and it worked again. Then I updated the BIOS settings and it booted, but only recognized one device.
