The experience starts with a laggy cursor and slow scrolling in the start menu. After a brief pause, the screen briefly goes black before becoming smooth again—possibly due to a GPU adapter reset. Certain Windows settings, Nvidia controls, and Afterburner don’t remain stable. Audio often shifts to full volume and seems to impact game performance. The iGPU is turned off in BIOS, yet it appears in Device Manager alongside some sound cards, sometimes not at all. It seems chipset drivers or iGPU/PCIe issues might be involved. The problem began gradually, and I’ve accepted it for a long time. My motherboard is an Asus Prime Z390-A. I've tested various GPUs, RAM, power supplies, and reinstalled Windows 10/11, but the issue persists. Memory and hard drives show no errors; NVMe and SSDs are around 90% healthy. Turning on a second monitor causes the main screen to go black briefly, though it doesn’t crash. Using only the main monitor without any cables connected to the iGPU hasn’t helped either. I’m still using the latest 2004 BIOS.
