Have trouble accessing a .INV file format?
Hi all,
I'm really struggling here. I need some assistance.
I have a .INV file from my dentist—it's a 3D scan of my teeth, including one that requires a dental implant.
In short, I need to open this file, but I don't know any software that can do it. I'm not familiar with the .INV format at all. I assume the specialised dentistry software is designed for this, but I still can't find a solution. Even a JPEG would be helpful.
Could anyone suggest something? Your help would mean a lot. Thank you in advance! I can also share the file if needed.
I believe these are Invivo files... likely exclusive to Invivo.
Here is a viewer I discovered.
InVivoDental Viewer offers a safe and easy way to access .inv files.
You can download it from invivodentalviewer.software.informer.com.
I haven't tested it myself.
Hi Jay,
Thank you for your response. I came across this as well, but unfortunately when you attempt to download it, you receive a "page not found" error. I can't even try it now. I did locate a somewhat similar link on the same site; the version was a bit different, and I was able to download it, though it needed a license number for installation or activation, which prevented me from continuing further.
It might be challenging since it appears to be a specialized file type.
There could be few...or no available free viewers for it.
Request the dentist who prepared this format to provide a more portable version such as JPG or PDF. Indicate that you require it for consultation purposes.
