The CMOS reset happened after a full power shutdown, which seems unusual. It might be related to a BIOS setting, but I’m not sure XMP is the cause. With four sticks, the memory controller could struggle with your faster chip. Your RAM should work at 3200 MHz regardless. What options did you try to activate?

My setup is also at 3200 MHz, which might not be an issue, but the main concern is the BIOS resetting. I turned on the automatic XMP profile in the BIOS settings.

It's currently showing a 3200 fine, and the RAM limit shouldn't change? That seems resolved.

I own a 3200 kit, exactly what Podkall mentioned. I’m confused about what’s happening and why my CPU shows lower frequencies in CPUID even though my RAM is running at the same speed as Podkall’s. Still, it’s causing trouble because my BIOS resets every time I turn off my power strip.

Avoid turning off the power, it won’t help you in any way...

Reinstall the CPU carefully. Verify no debris is present on the pins or within the socket.

Sure, there are similar gadgets in the same power strip that stay lit, which isn't great since I sleep close to them. I'll give it another shot next week!
