Have issues securing internet connectivity on your home network?
Recently, a family member who understands my Wi-Fi password shared it unintentionally with someone who visited the house. That person informed me they passed on the password and shouldn’t have access to our home network. I own a Netgear WNDR3400v1 and am unsure which device connected or how to secure it without changing the password. Please assist me in resolving this issue before anyone might misuse the information.
Update your password immediately. Every packet routed through your modem uses it for encryption. If they possess the correct password, and you're genuinely concerned about being compromised, switch it right away. Otherwise, their access remains unrestricted to all network information.
Updating the password is the safest option. It would be simple for them to circumvent MAC filtering, and you’d also have to remember the specific device used.
