You have a 1 GB S2H AM4 B450M motherboard paired with a Ryzen 7 2700X and two 8 GB 2667MHz CL19 RAM modules. You're wondering if upgrading your RAM is necessary and whether you can exceed the 2933 MHz limit mentioned online.

You can easily adjust it in the BIOS settings. My 2400 model runs at 2933 and could potentially go higher, though I haven’t tested it yet.

Overclocking outcomes aren't assured. Raising the frequency to 3000mhz to 3200mhz works for your system. If it drops to 2933mhz, the performance boost remains significant compared to 2133mhz. Aim for CL 14 or CL16 at the rated XMP settings.

Which platform? AMD's. The imc manages 2933 effortlessly, but anything above that is technically an overclock and isn't assured. A 3200 cl14 build would work well, similar to a b die kit—should deliver better performance than your existing setup.

I don't think you meant anything different. The kit you usually use is for 2667, but a 3200 model might not run at full speed on your motherboard.

It might not be necessary to upgrade the RAM. With 3200mhz 2x 4gb, you'd pay around $40-50. Instead of that, consider investing more in a good motherboard. A B450 model from any brand works well—expect prices between $85 and $110 (U.S. Dollars).

What's the point of the brand? The S2H is a solid board, but it doesn't really add much. It still feels like it says nothing meaningful.
