Have a black screen issue after a new build?
Hello.
Today I received my new motherboard, CPU, RAMs and SSD:
Mobo: msi b650 tomahawk
CPU: Ryzen 7800X3D
GPU: 3060ti
RAM: gskill trident neo 6000mhz cl30
Power supply: 750w chieftronic gold
I began the installation process. First, I performed a flashback using a 32GB USB drive and changed the file name to msi.rom.
My PSU was connected to the motherboard.
I installed the BIOS, likely because I noticed a white LED and then it turned off. After that, I added all the components and restarted the PC. The computer started up, but the monitor displayed a black screen.
I attempted to boot without the GPU, which also failed.
Later, I tried booting with only one RAM module, but that didn’t work either. During debugging, I observed red and yellow lights coming from the CPU and DRAM.
At one point, I removed the CMOS battery, waited a few minutes, and then reinserted it. This didn’t resolve the issue.
Now I have taken all components out and am trying to update the BIOS again using the new motherboard and motherboard.
Did you ensure all power connections are properly linked into the power supply? There are several connectors to handle, including three for the motherboard.
Bios version you're using? Version 7D75v17 is the most recent.
