Hello! Yes, it's possible the motherboard lights up, the CPU starts spinning, and it gets hot because some CPU pins aren't properly connected to the MOBO socket. That could be causing the issue.

It can start but probrably woudn't POST/boot. Most likely behave as if the CPU is dead. If it has a CPU status LED and it's staying on the it's definitely a CPU / CPU socket issue of some kind going on. You can remove it and check the pins to make sure they're all in alignment and that none are bent and so on.

The updates are working fine! I've got a fresh Ryzen CPU and the same issue still happening. I restarted the PC into BIOS just this week—it's the first time I've done that since it was the last time I booted into BIOS. Apologies for the language!

Maybe someone shared a photo of the AM4 MOBO socket with pin configuration. I tried to secure it in bright light and adjusted the angle to observe reflections, noticing some areas were completely dark—possibly no actual contact points. Apologies for the language issues!

You might want to check your current CPU compatibility. Are you upgrading from a Ryzen 2000 series chip to a Ryzen 3000 series? If so, ensure the BIOS is updated for the newer chips. If not, reset the BIOS/CCMOS completely. Watch for any LED indicators during startup—they can point to GPU or other issues. Share your findings and we'll proceed from there.
