Hi There, I own an EVGA SuperNova 1200 P2 power supply. Over the past weeks, my computer has crashed during games—sometimes after just a few minutes, sometimes up to an hour. I’ve replaced all components except the CPU and motherboard with spare parts. I also have another power supply in the system, and now it works without issues.

Based on this, it seems the power supply might be the culprit since swapping it resolved the problem. However, I’m not entirely sure if other factors are involved. Could be the port or connections are causing instability, or maybe the issue was elsewhere. Swapping the GPU didn’t help, and the crashes were more severe outside of gaming.

I’m doing this to verify before starting the RMA process with EVGA.

We can only identify issues by pinpointing the apparent faulty component. That’s exactly what you’ve done; since the system works after swapping the PSU, it makes sense to conclude the PSU is the problem.

Consider testing the questionable PSU on a different machine to see its performance. If both devices fail, it strengthens the suspicion of the power supply issue.
