I've had this problem for two days now. When I press a key once, it types repeatedly. While playing games, I can't move normally and pasting things causes it to repeat too many times. I suspect my little brother might have accidentally hit his hands on the keyboard, but I also wonder if he used a shortcut I don't know.
I tried unplugging and plugging the keyboard back in, restarted my computer twice, but nothing worked. Using a different keyboard fixed the issue, but I still prefer the one that's having problems.

don't suppose its not just dirty, could be dust, hair, etc underneath key caps, it can make them repeat. happens to me a lot.
does keyboard have its own software? could be a setting in it, since it doesn't happen on other kb.
Have you checked under the keys? Using compressed air or a paint brush works. I use both.
I tried a few days ago and my keys still repeat more than I’d like. Sometimes it’s because I’m slow to release. They’re always the same keys for me.
Consider trying a clean boot and see if it helps. Follow the instructions carefully and make sure you don’t disable any Microsoft services or Windows won’t load properly.

It doesn’t remove anything, just stops things from starting. It’s easily undone.
If a clean boot resolves the issue, it likely points to a startup program. Over several restarts, try stopping the programs you stopped and see which one is causing the problem.
I believe there might be a quick way, but I'm having trouble locating it.
I believe the electronics beneath the switches might get damaged after my brother hit it.
Key-stutter usually results from a switch that sticks down or a damaged switch where the metal part at the bottom breaks and makes contact repeatedly.
What model is it?
Does the stutter occur with every key or only certain ones? If it’s sporadic, you might replace the problematic switch with a working one. This could involve some soldering skills if your keyboard lacks removable switches.
