I'm facing some problems with the XMP profile on my new Asus Z690-F motherboard. It behaves unpredictably, and I'm experiencing serious freezes while gaming. When I switch to Alt-Tab, the game seems to stabilize, suggesting the XMP profile might be the cause. I'm not sure if it's related to voltage or CPU, though I've already undervolted and passed stability tests. The RAM doesn't trigger any errors in Memtest86, which makes me think the issue might be with the memory voltage. When I disable the XMP profile, the problem disappears, but it happens very infrequently, so I'm not entirely confident.

32 gb ram corsair 6000mhz
Please share a link to the RAM kit you're using.
ASUS Z690-F ROG
What BIOS version are you running on your motherboard?
The problem isn't the CPU, I believe, but I'm unsure because I undervolted it and completed some stability checks.
Save the undervolt settings as a profile in your BIOS, then return to defaults while only enabling X.M.P. To see if that helps. If not, it might be the operating system. What OS are you using?

Sharing the same discussion across different forum areas won't benefit anyone unless you're aiming to confuse everyone. Keep it focused on one thread.

It was just because I wasn't sure where to share it, that's all.

thats a good idea, didnt know that its possible to save presets, i will start from there then, revert the undervolt and see how it goes, ill keep you posted, i updated to the last bios version last week to see if thats solves the problem, and it did at some point, cause with the old update my system was freezing completely and restarting itself once the freeze occurs, after the update only the game freezes but the system keeps working normaly, heres the link to the ram kit

So I followed your advice, but I had a big stutter for about five days. It’s strange, but it seems normal. I’m using Windows 11 and didn’t format my PC after the hardware upgrade, maybe I should have. It happens rarely and isn’t too bothersome, but it makes me worried about a possible hardware problem.

Have you attempted resetting the CMOS and then turning on XMP once more? This might resolve some unusual BIOS behavior.
