The temperatures are normal, but I'm still puzzled about the CPUID HWmonitor readings. It shows idle at 50 and peaks at 70-80 under load during Cinebench R20, while the AMD master reports idle at 42 and maxes out around 75.

Yes, you can disconnect the SATA cable from your hard drives and perform a clean installation. Since your boot drive is an SSD, this should work without issues. Just follow the steps for a fresh setup.
