Yesterday, my laptop stopped booting up completely. The screen stayed off while the keyboard and fans worked normally. I checked the issue and discovered one of the RAM slots was faulty. Since I had 8x2 DDR4 modules installed, I removed the defective one. The system would start if no RAM was present in that slot. The RAM itself appeared fine. I inspected the slot carefully and didn’t see any visible damage or blockages. This hasn’t happened before. Do you know if there’s anything more I should try?
