Your PC is having some problems after your Discord call and game download. It started lagging, stopped responding to Discord, and the download interrupted on your drive. After a reset and automatic repair, it won’t boot now. The issue might be related to the drive or storage health. Since you have a solid specs setup, consider checking the drive for errors or running a more thorough diagnostic. If repairs don’t help, reinstalling Windows could be the best path forward.

It’s better to reinstall Windows on top of the current setup. Remove what you need from the "Windows.old" folder—it’s not worth dealing with the troubleshooting. You might discover within days or months that it still isn’t working properly, forcing a full reinstall eventually.

Reinstalling is fine, though it might be an SSD. Would you like me to boot from a Linux live USB and examine the SMART information?

I’d like to keep my files on the PC intact whenever possible, but if necessary I’m open to trying it. Right now I’m using the chkdsk command, though it’s taking a long time. I’ll also attempt the Windows USB installer to see if it can fix the system. It feels odd because I was playing normally throughout the day and didn’t notice anything unusual. Any other suggestions you have would be helpful.

Ensure your backup is on an external drive prior to reinstall. If starting Windows isn’t possible, use a Linux live USB to transfer the files instead.

Given that there's some suspicion of the SSD being dead, you could just get a new 1TB SSD from a reputable manufacturer

Apparently a handful of solutions are available; see the Microsoft forum link and additional articles for more details.
