Following the replacement of the old CPU cooler, the operating system fails to detect the RAM placed in the left slot. When checking with CPU-Z, it indicates a single-channel configuration despite two RAM sticks installed in both slots. Is this an issue with the OS or could the left slot be faulty? Additionally, booting works when RAM is installed only on the right slot, but not when the left one is used.

It seems there’s a hardware or power issue affecting boot performance. The problem appears consistent across different slots, possibly due to a faulty slot or cooling component. Consider reinserting the CPU and verifying connections. Inspect for bent pins before proceeding.

I verified that there are no issues. Regardless of the stick type, it works. I have three RAM modules here, and I tested each one. It only boots properly when both slots are active, not just the left one.

due to the memory hardware issue, the CPU Z shows only a single channel.

If the problem persists even with a faulty memory stick and the CPU maintains good contact (meaning no bent pins on the socket or CPU), the probable reason lies with the motherboard. It seems one of your memory channels is nonfunctional, preventing the OS from accessing it and causing it to operate in single-channel mode.

Spray the CPU socket and both RAM slots with 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean, then let it dry for 2 to 4 hours.
