I continue experiencing this Realtek hardware IO error with the Realtek 2.5 family controller, but only after waking up from sleep. It doesn’t seem to impact my system performance since I remain connected and functional.

Check the specifications of your onboard NIC, including the motherboard make and model if applicable. For a network card, note its manufacturer. If using a motherboard, also specify the BIOS version. Let me know which operating system you're using.

The operating system is Windows 11, though I'm uncertain about the NIC term. The motherboard is a Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX V1.2 and the FPGA is FB3C.

This suggests the issue relates to a Realtek 2.5GbE Network Interface Controller.

This doesn't create any problems other than my color calibration resetting each time my PC wakes up from sleep.

Possible options: device manager, network adapters, power management.

I turned off the ability for the device to shut down via the controller and wifi nic.
