Hey there. My PC keeps crashing even when I don't use too much power or gaming. Sometimes it turns blue and restarts, other times just shuts down without saving. AMD says they got a problem and reset everything to the start again. I bought this whole setup from Gaming.gen about two years ago. Everything is old now because parts have been used for 2 years 4 months including my power supply. I know their support is weak and not helpful based on how bad things were before, so I can't blame them. I don't even know what to do anymore and feel like I've tried everything else.

I ran a memory test with Windows and the one they recommended called MemTest. It passed fine at first. But when I ran it again, Windows got stuck at 99% and crashed. Then the Windows repair system fixed some bad files. However, the memory test still showed no errors that same day. I tried running every kind of stress test for my GPU and CPU for over an hour using games like OCCT and FurMark, nothing happened. There were no crashes, blue screens, or weird graphics during those tests.

I updated the BIOS but the problem is still there. I used DDU to try many graphics drivers with no change either. I also updated chipset drivers but again no change at all. I set the RAM back to its default speed of 2668 MHz and the issue is still happening. I ran system file repair commands in the terminal as admin sometimes they found bad files and tried to fix them, but crashes kept coming up.

What should I do? I've been hitting at least two crashes every month for six months now. I am completely out of ideas.

Hey, could you send over those .dmp files so we can check them out? You need to put them up somewhere like Dropbox and share the link with us. From your machine, it sounds weird that a Ryzen 5000 processor would work when it needs all that power, since these chips are hot and stressy on their VRM parts. Since the problem only shows up when you're just sitting there idle, maybe the issue is with how Windows handles power instead of hardware. Have you tried switching the power plan in Windows to High Performance? Maybe even wiping your drive down, rebuilding a fresh bootable USB for Win 11, but all offline without internet? Are you running any undervolts on your graphics card?

Check Reliability History or Monitor for error codes, warnings, and messages that show up right before a crash happens. Start there because it's easier for normal users to use and shows events in order with time. Event Viewer takes longer to figure out since you have to click around more and understand the parts better. Just looking at both tools might help too if you see specific details by clicking on them, but they could still give confusing or unhelpful info sometimes.

Hi, I already put these files in my Google Drive (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qjoZACt...sp=sharing). Can you check them out? These parts came from a pre-built PC and I never changed the original components. I don't even know what a VRM is, but if that was causing it, why isn't my computer crashing when I first turn it on after buying it two years ago? Right now, this happens only when the PC isn't idle, like during normal use or gaming. My power plan is set to high performance, and I don't have any extra hard drives. The machine has been dead since the start and even without trying an undervolt, it keeps crashing.

Can I give you access to my Event Viewer logs and Reliability History files?

Here is a rewritten version using simpler words while keeping your perspective as "you":

You can take pictures and send them to imgur (www.imgur.com) where you click green New Post icon on top right corner of the page. Start with Reliability History/Monitor in Day View mode, then take screenshots of those days that had the most crashes, errors, warnings, or info events.

Lots of mistakes, etc. Usually, seeing many errors shows my power supply unit or general power is failing. As I said, after posting the dump files, they can help find which apps are broken or corrupted. = = = = Power off, unplug everything, open the case. Blow out dust and dirt. Check that all cables, cards, RAM, jumpers, and case plugs are stuck tight. Shine a bright light around to look for damage. Run "dism" and "sfc /scannow" (you've probably done this already). See if any new problem files come up or if old ones get fixed. Sometimes one file gets fixed but then breaks again later. Watch the log files closely for new entries and read the details carefully. I will leave it to the gaming members about Game Bar and Easy Anti-Cheat since they seem to be involved. Try uninstalling them, testing without them first, then reinstalling. Do this one at a time with tests between each install.

Hİ the dump files are here in post if you can check it it will be amazing because I don't understand reading mini-dump files(like i don't understand what does mean any error in windbg) I will clean it up soon with a friend becouse i might break or damage the PC. (To be honest i bought prebuild because of that) I check the GPU today and the power cables are good shape, no burn or any damage. Ram looks fine. I could't find any damage that i could see. The cmd command sometimes show a currapotion and fixes it but i don't know what is the reason. Problem is i can't play online game without easy anti-cheat, it's needed.

I once owned that motherboard. Two years later, things went wrong. It was just cheap stuff back then, and I didn't have much money to spend.
