My PC occasionally generates extremely large CBSPersist.log files, sometimes two at once, filling up nearly 30GB on my SSD. The issue seems hard to locate or solve.

Focus on identifying the cause of the log overflow and halt the issue directly. Regular tasks shouldn't generate such large volumes quickly.

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. I understand how frustrating it can be when troubleshooting without clear guidance. I’ve attempted to fix the issue, but the answers haven’t resolved anything. Opening the LOG file is too large for me right now. If you’d like, I can help walk you through a simpler approach or suggest next steps.

The message indicates that when CBS.log exceeds 50MB, it is transferred to CBS.Persist.Log for storage. You can access CBS.log to review the activity.

I'm using a specific Windows release for these logs. Are the files located in C:\Windows\Logs\CBS or C:\Windows\Temp?

I've removed the log file already. I'll check it again in a few hours. Just let me know if you need anything else.

I successfully accessed the extensive log files through a third-party tool and detected an update database corruption. I believe I resolved the issue, though results are uncertain. Fingers crossed it doesn’t trigger another surge of massive logs.
