Hey everyone, so my friend finally got a desktop at home and set up a Minecraft server for us to play. When he leaves, we can join during free time. But when we’re away from home, I used his laptop, started Hamachi, and logged in beforehand. However, it keeps getting stuck resolving the host and can’t connect to the servers. Can anyone help us figure this out? We all want to play together at school and support each other. We’re not sure if the issue is with the school or college internet, but we need some guidance.

It might be your school's internet, but I'm not a networking specialist.

It might be the school's internal network preventing access with the firewall since the source is not recognized.

Ask him to forward the server port and simply use his IP address to connect.

It relates to the school network, as many institutions restrict ports used for gaming or similar activities

It seems to be the school network. I’ve brought my computers to several homes using Hamachi and haven’t faced this issue before.
