You're getting a great deal by having the PC ready for this title. With your GTX 980ti G1 OC, i7-4790k, hero motherboard, and 16GB RAM, you should be in a solid position to hit 50-60 FPS at 1440p with hairworks enabled. It really depends on how the game handles your system under load. ENB mods can definitely help achieve a more cinematic look, especially if performance drops. As for stability, high FPS is key—if you maintain it, the visuals will be sharp and the effects will shine. Just keep an eye on temperatures and ensure your cooling stays solid during intense scenes.

It seems you've already downloaded the game for free—consider testing it once your system is ready.

I'm not familiar with hairworks, but for 1440p it's less crucial than 1080p. Still, doubling or quadrupling can help, and you might try 2x or 0x for better performance.

I run Witcher 3 at full resolution without any issues, and it's been smooth from the start. The hair effect is fine, just need a strong setup.

You can find reference points for the G1 gaming to gauge expected speed. The key part is the GPU, while your CPU should not limit performance. A 980ti should be more than sufficient for 1440p resolution.

Maxwell likely wasn't affected as severely as AMD or Kepler cards. The issue probably stemmed from the tessellation performance, which was affected by the "hairworks settings." Regardless, your 980 should work fine.

It doesn't seem to be a permanent solution; it functions now, but optimization is a different matter.

Your system should handle high settings well—50-60 FPS at ultra MAX with all details enabled. The specs you mentioned suggest strong performance, though 30-40 FPS is possible under heavy load.
