It seems the board is in its final stages. She's exhausted. Sata 2.0 has a South bridge... not much can be done about it, I suppose.

It's actually version 3.0, though that's a bit disappointing. I still have a ten-year-old p43-neo running smoothly.

Hmm, it could be a really bad SATA cable. Don’t give up on troubleshooting just yet!

oh yeah, i've tried basically everything right after it turned normal again the sata port worked fine, but right after i installed a gpu into the first pcie slot it acted up, even though i've done this before without anything happening i've pretty much accepted that this motherboard's doesn't have long to live

I could probably assemble a PC using this motherboard, have my brother try it out, and observe any issues during use.
