Yesterday I purchased an i5 4590 and updated my H81M-A/BR BIOS to the latest version. After testing, the cooler works but no display appears. The ASUS site advises downloading a BIOS updater for 4gen processors, which I did. However, every time I attempt installation, it triggers a fatal error. I'm running a Pentium on the same motherboard and tried running the i5 without RAM, but still didn't get any BIOS. Someone please help me resolve this!

I attempted a test without RAM, but I'm using 2x RAM at 4GB.

Connect the tiny speaker to the front panel as shown in the manual. Refer to the pin layout. Without RAM, the board will emit a beep signaling missing memory. Memory must be installed to resolve additional beep codes.

I had the speaker; during Pentium runs I received a bip before launch windows opened.
