SSDs can be separated more simply. Install Windows first, as it handles local time correctly, not UTC or GMT. Then configure Linux to use the same local time setting.

That's a key point often overlooked. The Pane and the Penguin manage the system clock in distinct ways, meaning one must be adjusted to align with the other. Since I primarily use Linux, I opted to switch Windows to UTC, though the decision is up to you.
