Hello, I’m facing a problem with my computer. I’m using Windows 11 Pro with a 3070 Ti Gigabyte Aurora Elite non Wi-Fi AMD 5950X. The issue is I can’t play YouTube videos anymore—not in Chrome or Edge, it was working fine two days ago. I uninstalled any programs recently, reset the router and modem, but the problem persists. It’s not just YouTube; I can’t even watch my Plex server videos. Everything seems normal until now. I’m thinking about reinstalling Windows, but I’m hesitant since I cleared cookies and browsing history.

I can view videos from various sites and handle video files. Your Windows video player functions properly. The programs currently installed or uninstalled are listed upon request. Yes, I use the Plex app for media playback.

I haven’t used the Windows video player, but I’m sure you’re having trouble watching videos on any site you’ve set up with DaVinci Resolved. There might be an issue with the installation or settings.

I hadn't considered that yet, but based on what I see, it seems the issue won't work on sites like Netflix or Amazon Prime. It might be related to file formats, video drivers, or something else. Someone on Microsoft forums reported the same problem with Windows 10, not Windows 11. Now, no videos are playing on my Windows 10 PC or in any browser. I'm checking the steps they suggested and hoping it resolves the issue.

Absolutely, even the files stored on my desktop aren't functioning properly.

Consider checking the video drivers on your system. If that fails, try booting into a Linux live environment to verify playback functionality.

The video driver is usually the GPU driver, which can be uninstalled and reinstalled during updates or troubleshooting.

Same information is frequently discussed regarding video or GPU drivers. Start by booting from an Ubuntu live USB and launch a browser—you should be able to stream a YouTube video.

The issue resolved with the Elgato 4k app, after uninstalling and reinstalling it. Everything functioned properly afterward.
