Guide for Ryzen motherboards
What financial range are you considering? Which currency applies? Do you need a particular case size (ATX, mATX, ITX)? How much RAM are you aiming for—16GB or 32GB? A solid 3200MHz CL16 setup works well, but most boards let you push it higher; a 3600MHz option could offer extra gains, though it might not always justify the cost. If you move to a 3600MHz CL18, performance gain is similar to a 3200MHz CL16, so it’s not necessarily an upgrade you must prioritize.
The cost label on 2x8Gb at 3200MHz matches a single 16Gb at 3600MHz. A smaller price gap on the motherboard would be helpful, especially since I plan to add more sticks later next year without significant hardware differences between these choices. In my experience, I’ll move to 32Gb RAM either way—either a 4-slot setup for the 3200Mhz or a 2-slot setup for the 3600Mhz configuration. My budget ranges from 9,000 to 10,000 BRL. I’m leaning toward a miniATX board.
Make sure the 3600MHz kit meets CL16 requirements; otherwise, skip it. Could you tell me which retailer you plan to purchase from?
The cost for the board I'm estimating is approximately 1,000 (we prefer lower but without major compromises) and the RAM should be between 700,00 and 800,00.
I considered your suggestions. Now I face another decision about these choices. HyperX Fury 16Gb (1x16) at 3600MHz CL17 for 708,00 R$ Vengeance 16Gb (2x8) at 3200MHz CL16 for 708,00 R$ and Vengeance 16Gb (2x8) at 3000MHz CL15 for 700,00 R$.
Choose Vengeance 16Gb (2x8) 3200MHz CL16. I suggest this motherboard: https://www.kabum.com.br/produto/114781/...o-atx-ddr4 For the CPU, skip the 3800x and opt for the 3700x.
Thank you very much! It really made a difference. I’m still getting the hang of motherboard details beyond just finding the correct socket. The price on the site seems minimal (R$ 50,00), so I’ll go with the 3800X. I’ll also get the memory you suggested.
Understand that the 3800x is a significantly more powerful processor, which means you'll experience increased temperatures if you stick with the standard cooler.
