Looking for a Skyrim SE deck with 4K textures and ENBs. Specifically, the Special Edition since my original Skyrim is heavily modified and I don’t want to deal with outdated textures or mods. Also, a 64-bit engine would be great. Appreciate any advice!

Do you wish to play the game in 4K resolution or simply use the 4K assets at 1080p?

Requesting 4K files, though I doubt my 1070 will usually allow me to go beyond 1440p.

My Skyrim SE runs on ENB and Reshade. A GTX 1080 could handle 4k at 50fps, while my RTX 2080 ti maintains around 60fps most of the time. The fine details in 4k skin textures are barely visible at 1440p unless you adjust the console to get closer than the default. Using 2k textures makes no difference when comparing close-up screenshots at either resolution. Here are some images with 4k face textures.

The first picture shows the closest view of your character without using the console or zoom settings. The second uses console commands to approach as closely as possible. Even though the 4k version has more detail, it only matters to a screenshot artist. The main benefit of 4k resolution is the clarity of mid-range objects (10 to 30 feet away). For vanilla games with lower textures, I don’t think the extra cost is justified.
