Goal: A Windows-based PC (server or desktop) should handle up to 16 cameras at 4k resolution smoothly.
Variables/Requirements
- Cameras already available: Amcrest 5MP AI Turret PoE - IP5M-T1179EW-AI-V3 (currently 8 units, cannot be increased).
- RAID10 setup needed with 6-8 Western Digital Purple drives (storage size depends on surveillance needs).
- Drive bays require hot-swap capability and sliding trays (no rubber grommet type).
- Tower configuration is preferred; no rack available; space is semi-tight but ventilation is adequate.
- Desired build includes a complete case, motherboard, RAID card, cables, etc.
- Seeking a comprehensive hardware list to optimize performance.
- Extensive research has been done, but finding the right RAID card and case/bay compatibility remains challenging; hoping community insights will help.
Constructive advice appreciated in advance.
