I purchased this MSI Gtx 980 Ti GAMING 6G from eBay. After setting it up, I opted for a fresh Windows installation. The PC booted up normally. I fetched the newest nVidia driver from nvidia.com and attempted to install it. The card was detected, but the installation stopped halfway before a black screen appeared with white horizontal lines (screenshot). A blue screen displayed, but no error message was shown. The PC restarted afterward. I also tried installing the driver via the MSI website, but it crashed again using GeForce Experience. Someone might know what’s going on or suggest a solution?

Updated: attempting a 2560x1440 setting triggers unusual visual artifacts on my display.

BIOS version updated to F15 (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-...support-dl), the newest non-beta driver. During installation of the graphics driver via GeForce Experience, I continue to face the same problem.

The card has hardware issues. There's probably no "fix" for the problem. Only suggestion is return it for a refund.
