I bought an open box Sapphire Pulse RX 7900 from Canada. Used DDU in safe mode before switching from 970 to 7900. Installed the AMD card but didn’t get any updates. Swapped back to GTX970 and managed to post with DVI and HDMI. Brought it to Canada Computers, they tested both DP and HDMI and it worked. Tried again at home but nothing posts now. PCIE 16X was only used once a few years ago. Did I miss something important? TIA

Reinitialize the CMOS upon connection. It’s a simple fix, though it might not work. Did you correctly connect the PCIe cables? The 7900gre requires more power than the 970—ensuring both GPU and PSU are properly plugged in is essential.

I’ve verified the PCIE power cable several times and confirmed the GPU is properly seated. The CMOS battery was recharged using the 7900 connector, which seems to have resolved the issue. It worked before when I performed a full CMOS reset on the 970 model.
