consider buying the gigabyte gtx 2060 oc pro despite the rumors about poor OC software. spending an extra 25-50 bucks might be worth it to get the rog/strix oc or evga sc ultra, which share the same binned chips and boost clocks. the msi afterburner should still function on the 20 series cards, so you can choose the more affordable option. thank you in advance for your input.

Should I purchase the Gigabyte GTX 2060 OC Pro despite concerns about low-quality overclocking software or spending an additional 25-50 dollars for alternatives like the ROG/Strix OC or EVGA SC Ultra, which seem to share the same chips and boost clocks? Or should I stick with the cheaper Gigabyte option? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Regarding EVGA's software for your replacement of the GTX 1060 SSC, it's unclear if Precision X can handle the OC or if Afterburner remains optimal.

Maj_F_Bomb :
Regarding EVGA's software for the EVGA gtx 1060 SSC, would Precision X also handle the OC? Is Afterburner still the top choice or could Precision X work too?
EVGA Precision is also a great option.
Both are top choices for GPU overclocking.
They both include an automatic overclocking tool called OC scanner, which is very helpful for beginners and completely safe.
People often prefer MSI Afterburner because it integrates well with Riva Tuner, but it's not the only requirement.
