I have a GTX 1080 Ti with an i7 8700 and 16GB RAM. With that configuration, I was achieving around 100-120 FPS in Forza Horizon 4 at maximum details, but yesterday it dropped to 60-80 FPS. I adjusted the settings to low high ultra and max, but the FPS remained unchanged across all options. V-sync is disabled in both NVIDIA settings and Forza. I didn’t modify any other settings either, so I’m unsure what caused the problem. I reinstalled the game, but the issue persists. Before playing Forza, I played Crew 2 for a day and that game was capped at 60 FPS, so playing it for a full day might have affected things. In other games like Battlefield 5, I’m seeing around 100 FPS and Battlefield 4 around 200 FPS. Please help.

It seems there might be an issue with the system. Have you checked if Windows or the game was updated yesterday?

no updates were made, but the CPU was running at 99% usage in After Burner. Before the problem started, I played Forza at 100 FPS and just received an issue yesterday—no idea what to do.

I believe excessive CPU usage isn't ideal, but your GPU seems to be the issue.

just now i checked afterburner again and it seems i was mistaken before. the first time gpu usage was at 90 and cpu at 40-50 all the time. so i launched another game, BFV, and both were at 90%, which means low cpu usage is causing low fps in forza maybe. how can i fix this? pls hlp

Certain games require more CPU power, making it wise to test the same title on various systems. With your common configuration, you can find YouTube comparisons to evaluate performance.
