I've checked my specs carefully. With your components, you're in a decent range for gaming performance. Your monitor's 144Hz capability should help smooth things out, but the inconsistency you're seeing might be due to GPU load or driver issues. Your friend's setup with better specs seems to perform slightly better, which could indicate a hardware bottleneck or software configuration. Consider updating drivers and checking for any background processes that might affect frame rates. If the issue persists, it might be worth testing on a different machine or reaching out to more specialized forums.

You have a poor understanding of what you're expecting from these games. A GPU typically achieves about 50-55 FPS in GTA V and around 160 in CS:GO based on real-world data and player reports.

Starting with what resolution you're using is important. For 1080p it might be low, but on a 1440p display that could fit. Adjust your settings and watch for stutters when playing at higher frame rates. If you still see stuttering at medium or lower settings, try to identify background processes in the background—they often cause these issues. Check CPU usage while idle; unusual spikes suggest a problem. You can open Task Manager with Ctrl + Shift + Esc quickly. If no background apps are using high CPU, it might be a game issue. Consider configuring your game properly—like setting FPS_max in CSGO or adjusting textures in GTA5 to medium or low. Make sure RAM is correctly installed and consider XMP profiles. If nothing unusual runs, malware could be the culprit; look for spikes even when the system is idle.

Dual channel active Yes, operating around 55-67°C Celsius at maximum. Streaming GTA at medium to high quality, possibly 1080p.

It seems you're looking for the simplest method to clear background processes. You mentioned using Malwarebytes, so you might want to check its settings or run a quick scan to remove any lingering threats.

Your GTA settings file is ready. I've noted the change to use the alt tab for faster adjustments.

Malwarebytes might not stop everything, but it’s a solid choice since you can turn off most of its live safeguards. Unlike Avast or McAfee, it doesn’t install itself deeply into your system—Avast in particular has some annoying background activity even after removal. For the simplest tasks, open Task Manager, go to Startup, and disable anything you don’t need. For more advanced settings, edit msconfig, adjust startup options, and turn off unnecessary background apps. Disable Google services if they’re not essential, as they often use extra memory when idle. In Privacy Settings, switch off all non-essential apps—usually nearly everything works fine, though Steam can be tricky. If you need more details, just let me know.

It seems you're experiencing high temperatures. Consider switching to a new thermal paste and adding more RAM for better performance.
