Hi guys,
I used to play GTA nonstop but one morning I realized my game was running at 16 to 27 FPS. Honestly, my PC could handle much better (check the specs below).
CPU: Ryzen 7 1700
MB: MSI x370 gaming pro carbon
GPU: Gigabyte 1070 ti 8GB
RAM: Corsair vengeance pro 16GB 3000Mhz
PSU: Silverstone E-T650B 650W
Storage: SSHD 2TB
Overheating hasn’t been an issue, and it’s not happening now either. I’ve reinstalled drivers and the game again, but nothing works. Even changing the graphics settings doesn’t help much. The only thing affecting performance is the resolution – I can only reach 60 FPS at 800x600. GTA uses just 40-45% of my RAM, about 11% of my CPU, and 10-40% of my GPU. Since I’m still getting used to computing, this is really frustrating for me as I’m still learning... I’ve searched YouTube and other sites for help, but I think I found a solution.
Just a note – this is the only game where it happens.
Thanks!

1 Verify with CPU-z whether your components are weak, noting their labels as more detailed
2 attempt to remove the overclock of the RAM; AMD can be tricky with RAM, and disabling XMP may prevent it from functioning correctly

Try lowering it to 3000Mhz and adjust the DRAM voltage to 1.35v. This might fix your issue.

They didn't even edit my bad... and XMP isn't included either. The issue seems to be specific to GTA only. All my other games work fine. GTA used to work perfectly too, so it's likely they're genuine parts.

You've been operating at 2133Mhz continuously, that's clear.

my speed is 3000mhz, and this CPU-z is likely indicating something about its performance or capabilities.

I don't know the exact reason he wanted you to get it. Apparently, he believes you have a "fake" component. Maybe you should update or reinstall Windows and use DDU when updating drivers.

When using it in Windows safe mode, it completely removes all driver traces. After that, restart into regular Windows and reinstall the driver. Be sure to turn off automatic driver updates in Windows too.

Alright, but keep in mind that this only applies to GTA, so it might still be worth it? Because I mentioned all my other games run perfectly fine. Also, after turning off automatic updates, where should I look for them?
