I upgraded my old PC in October 2019 and everything worked well for gaming until roughly a month ago. Now Steam GTA V frequently crashes with various blue screen errors. I’m completely confused about why this happens. I tried installing drivers from early 2019, but they aren’t compatible with this version of Windows 10 Professional. This machine is for my son who has learning difficulties, and I can’t help him. I’m certain it’s not a hardware problem.

System specs: AMD R5 3500 (BIOS auto overclocked to 4.2GHz) with stock cooler, MSI X570 Gaming Wifi M/B, 2x8GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB NVMe, Steam games on a 2TB 7200 RPM HDD, MSI GTX1080 8G GPU, 600w PSU.

My research suggests the Rockstar Launcher might be the cause, but I’m still unsure. The PC functions normally in other situations.

Begin by eliminating any kind of occlusion and attempt again.

It seems you haven't upgraded your operating system recently, and the support has stopped. Microsoft's assistance for older Windows 10 versions is essentially nonexistent, as they tend to insist on specific versions and timelines.

Windows 10 Professional includes automatic updates – I’ll verify it myself. The OC was completed using the auto OC in the BIOS, but I’ll revert to the original version since some gaming engines reportedly dislike OCing.
