I'm experiencing problems while playing GTA V on a 1060 with 3GB RAM. The issue is noticeable in certain areas where shadows appear jagged, as shown in the attached screenshot. The shadow settings are set to a very high shader quality, and soft shadows on NVIDIA PCC seem problematic. My system has 8GB of RAM and an i5-4670 processor. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What resolution do you use? Attempt to run a DDU "Display Driver Uninstaller" in safe mode, then clean and restart. Back up your data, install the latest WHQL nVidia drivers via Windows, and let us know the outcome. Also, avoid adjusting shadows—set them to default and observe the results.

I play at 1440x900, which is my monitor's native resolution. However, this shouldn't be the problem since I've only started noticing this issue two weeks ago. What is the whql driver? It seems to be just regular NVIDIA drivers. Should I back up something? By default, are you referring to the lowest settings? Also, this occurs more often online, while in story mode it's rare. Oh, and I'm attaching that screenshot. Also, outside the hospital area where Michael appears in the image, the shadows were normal. But it also happens randomly elsewhere.

WHQL stands for Windows Hardware Quality Labs, and the MS has approved it. It looks a bit rough, so try the DDU afterward; otherwise, consider using some AA methods to address the issue.

This appears to be a more unstable version than the image suggests. By what is whql, I want to know what this backup feature is about. Definitely, it can be resolved since the issue is relatively new. This isn't a major concern. I've also attempted enabling mfaa in the nv control panel, as well as fxaa, msaa, and txaa. Is this related to a VRAM problem?

I mentioned earlier that WHQL refers to Windows Hardware Quality Labs. This means the Microsoft approval ensures the driver is stable and reliable, not just a beta version.

I recall that shadow resolution in Grand Theft Auto V isn't particularly high. It makes sense, since even Forza Horizon 4 sometimes struggles with shadows, but that's not a big deal. Don't expect the game to look that impressive, as it's based on an older Xbox 360/PS3 title.

Sharp version of the text. Take a screenshot of the same image.

I have recorded a video, but sharp shadows aren't the solution; they seem to improve slightly. However, I also captured footage where it appears clearer.
Here is the link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1uEErmP...DlCfqc_lwi
Additionally, the shadows look similar under rooftops or at night.
I've installed a whql certified 431 driver, but it didn't help.
I've also noticed this issue isn't limited to GTA V—it occurs in other games too. It seems to happen when a secondary light source is used, or when I'm inside or during night scenes. Could there be something wrong in the NVIDIA control panel? Please advise.
