You're experiencing some unusual problems after reinstalling GTA V. It seems the recent changes might have affected performance. I've tried adjusting settings, updating drivers, and reinstalling sound modules, but the issues persist. Your GPU is showing high usage, temperatures are elevated, and frame rates fluctuate. Could you share your specs again for better troubleshooting?

There seems to be a memory issue—VRAM is nearly exhausted and performance is lagging.

Even after reinstalling, a few configuration files remain in your system. If the game identifies these old files during setup or the first run, it won’t replace them and will continue using the previous versions. This could explain why you still have older save games. Certain programs offer multiple uninstallation methods: standard full uninstall, custom uninstall, and partial uninstall. These settings usually work for installation, but some applications also support these uninstallation options.

I removed all modifications and cleared the entire GTA V directory before reinstalling. The installer also prompted to uninstall before starting again. Your save files have been deleted as well.

To guarantee all files are deleted, confirm you’ve cleared the installation directory completely. Then check your system’s file explorer or command line for any remaining entries. If unsure, run a full scan or use a recovery tool to recover lost data.

All the files in the game folder should function properly. Mods usually stay within those limits. There’s still a clear memory issue, though.

Your configuration files and save games are likely stored in a 'Documents' folder containing a 'GTA' subfolder.
